On Sunday 10th December, myself and @jesuishench will be walking from Manchester to Blackpool dressed as Mr and Mrs clause to raise money to organise and host an event with @_homelesshouse to give ANYONE who isn't looking forward to Christmas something to look forward to on Christmas Day.

Why? Because I've spent many Christmases alone, suicidal and even homeless and I know all to well what it's like to not feel so merry or joyful and to be anxiously worrying how I'm going to get through the festive season. And sadly, so do so many others.

This includes but isn't limited to;

Those who have lost someone this year and are bracing themselves for the first time without them.

Those who will be spending it alone because they have no family to celebrate with.

Those with mental health issues that won't just magically disappear just because it's Christmas.

Thosenwith eating disorders who are worried about holding onto recovery when everything is so food-centred.

The people who are struggling with the cost of living and can't afford the Christmas they deserve.

The LGBT Community who aren't able to fully be themselves around family because it might not be safe.

The children in care homes who dream of having a family to wake up and unwrap presents with.

The single parents who are exhausting themselves trying to make sure their children's Christmas is 'perfect' with no help or support.

The homeless community who won't have anywhere to go or anyone to share the day with.

And anyone who's just feeling overwhelmed and like they can't keep up with it all.

The intital target will be used to create and host the event - which will provide a warm meal and small gift for everyone who attends as well as anything else needed for the special day. All additional funds over the target will be used to provide presents to a local childrens home aswell as help the homeless going forward into 2024.
