Story

St Paul's Nursery School has seen thousands of York families through the generations attend nursery before starting primary school. Almost everyone in York knows someone who came to nursery! This means that nursery has a special place in many families hearts. Unfortunately the physical place the nursery is located is no longer fit for purpose and has to be demolished and rebuilt. The building is located in the beautiful St Paul's Square in Holgate and caters for up to 60 children every day, as well as having a fantastic reputation for providing support, care and education for children with additional needs across the city.
The nursery itself is a grade ii listed house with a selection of annexes built on in the 1940s, 70's and 90's. These are in need of rebuilding. The children of the nursery have had to relocate during this time and Carr Infant School have been kind enough to share their classrooms and outdoor space with us. They have given us a lovely piece of grass outside as you can see but it is difficult to play on as the weather has been so wet, which makes the grass unuseable.
We cannot afford to tarmac the area so are looking at other equipment that we could buy to play with outside, particularly resources that can be brought back to St Paul's Square when our new building is complete. If there are any businesses out there who could help, our children would be eternally grateful!
We would like to raise money from our fabulous community to purchase some new bikes, scooters and climbing equipment that we can use to play with whilst we are located at Carr Infants. Any donation, no matter how small would be hugely appreciated. Some examples of what we would like are shown in the pictures:
