Story

On the 25th of May 2024 Squadron Leader Long crashed with his Spitfire aircraft in service of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

We are a group of friends, colleagues and supporters, who want to raise money at various events to support his family consisting of a loving wife and two little girls.

This will and can not lessen the pain over this great mans passing, but it will help his family to get a little bit of grip during times of hardship.

IMPORTANT: The initial high amount (was 250.000 GBP) is set as initial arbitrary number and his family might intend to sponsor the money to a charity of their designation.

UPDATE 10/JUL/24: In reconciliation with his family - We are now trying to raise towards a fix goal of 15.000 GBP. According to his family any left-over donations will also go towards the following charities: LIVES and Lincs Air Ambulance.

UPDATE 20/JUL/24: The fundraiser has breached the 15k GBP mark and hence the scholarship is guaranteed. The exceeding funds will go, as his family wants, to LIVES and Lincs Air Ambulance. Furthermore the fundraiser will keep running a little longer and there might be a charity dinner for supporters (up to 70 people possible) to further support the cause and handover of the so far achieved funds. Updates on that will follow.

Again, I thank each and everyone of you for your support.
