Hey everyone,

I'm about to embark on what I fear is going to be the most challenging journey of my life, and no I'm not talking about operating a self check out machine without assistance. I'm talking about an 8-week boxing challenge to raise money for the St Giles rescue animals. And trust me, this is going to be a ride wilder than training some of the canine friends I work with at the centre. A lot more scary too!

It’s fair to say I'm not exactly what you'd call a natural-born fighter. In fact, the last time I threw a punch was outside a nightclub 25 years ago and my dad had to come and pick me up because the other girl did a better job. But hey, desperate times call for desperate measures, and these rescue animals need our help. So, for this, I'm stepping so far out my comfort zone I'm already losing sleep about it 😆

But here's the thing: even though I'll possibly spend more time on the mat than on my feet, every punch, every duck dive (more like duck and cover), every fall, and every tear shed will be worth it if it means we can make a difference for these animals.
