Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him):

The Prophet (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day." (Sahih Al-Bukhari).

I started this project for my mother, who inspires me everyday to be good and do good. She has always had a passion and care for those less fortunate particularly in the village she was born in, and has developed and maintained ties; where i have heard them often come to her for support and she offers it. She is currently regularly educating young children in her local village, providing emergency healthcare and food when needed and these funds are usually collected from me and my siblings.

However she wanted to do something more about the housing situation, and this is how this project was born, as i need more support from ALL of you; and together we can help support others.

There are many financially less fortunate families in my parents village in Bangladesh, and this crowdfunding is focused mostly on providing sustainable housing for them. Many families often have broken homes made out of clay, which is often not always sustainable, particularly during the monsoon season; with broken roofs, limited electricity, no windows or doors etc. As many may know already people are often living on wages of £10 per month to not only feed and clothe their family, and therefore there is little left over to fund the roof over their head.

I have kept the funding to my 'mother' village as my parents and my extended family members, will be able to personally oversea each housing project, and how funds are allocated and spent. Some families have no roof, another may not have any electricity and another no home at all.

We endeavor to focus on one house at a time in sha Allah.
