    Story

We are SASH. The SASH team is made up of a charity rep from every form at South Hampstead High School. The charity captains are from the sixth form and help to spread information and ideas to the charity reps.

    MEET OUR CHARITY CAPTAINS:

OLIVIA: A budding designer, Liv has helped to design and coordinate many of our fundraising events.
EDIE: A communication expert, Edie enjoys writing our newsletter articles and updates to send to parents and FOSH.
MOLLY: A passionate public speaker, Molly has been directly involved with UWS, having done work experience with the team during Summer
ANYA: Knowledgeable in the field of social media, Anya runs our Instagram and public face.
GRACE: An all-round do-gooder, Grace takes a hands on approach, always drumming up enthusiasm throughout the school.
GEORGIE: Loves to keep things organised, Georgie always brings a notepad to meetings and keeps the team in check with their goals.

    OUR ACTION:

Education in our view is a human right not a privilege. Without it, we might simply adopt the views of the previous generation causing an inability for us to progress as a society. With an education, young people develop the skills to move into fulfilling jobs that progress towards more tertiary employment and long-term careers, which in turn enable them to give the same advantages to their children.
We have chosen to partner with United World Schools because all South Hampstead girls are extremely fortunate to have the education that they do and we are acutely aware that we have never had to fight in order to keep our education.
The way that UWS works is that it employs local workers to build, maintain and teach in the schools that it builds. They have been building community primary schools across Cambodia, Myanmar and Nepal since 2008. To date 8000 children are in full time education due to their incredible work and this number is predicted to rise to 50,000 by 2019.
