Riding for Scarlett and Jack: Our Summer 2024 Charity Ride
In July 2024, Mark and Bill, are cycling over 1100km from Santander to Los Alcázares (Murcia) to raise money for Scarlett, a family friend’s daughter. We will also be riding in memory of Jack Chambers, Bill’s son, as part of our “Riding for Jack” challenges.
Scarlett’s life was forever changed in 2020 when, at just 10 years old, a rare Cavernoma ruptured in her spine, resulting in the loss of use of her legs. Since then, Scarlett has shown immense bravery and resilience, working tirelessly on her rehabilitation. However, she still requires regular rehabilitation sessions and specialised equipment to aid her mobility and strength.
By supporting "Riding for Scarlett," you can make a significant difference in Scarlett’s life. Every donation brings us closer to ensuring she has access to the best care and equipment necessary for her rehabilitation. We are determined to raise over £5000, and with your help, we can achieve this goal and give Scarlett the support she deserve.
Please sponsor us and help make a positive impact on Scarlett’s journey to recovery. Your generosity will bring hope and much-needed resources to a brave young girl and her family.

Please dig deep and donate friends!
This year I will be raising money for a family friend’s daughter Scarlett. In 2020 Scarlett was only 10 years old when her life was changed forever when a rare Cavanoma ruptured in her spine resulting in the loss of the use in her legs.
Since 2020 Scarlett has been so brave and working on rebuilding her strength however she still needs regular rehabilitation sessions and is in a wheelchair.
This is why I have chosen to raise money for Scarlett and her family to enable her to go have the best care / equipment.
I will be completing the ride London 2024 ( London to Essex 100 miles), London to Brighton and lastly Chichester to Spain which we will average at 100km per day for around 9 days.
