I am the Head Teacher of Ysgol Bryn Derw, which has 55 pupils with complex Autism and associated learning difficulties. I want to raise £550 by cycling 550 miles to and from work over the Summer Term. The journey from home to school is 12.5 miles and so I will be riding to and from school 22 times over the Summer Term.

Ysgol Bryn Derw opened in September 2017 and has rapidly grown from 32 to 55 pupils. The school is committed to giving all of the pupils the highest quality individualised educational experience possible. Engagement with the outdoor environment - through sensory play equipment and engagement with nature - is vital to this experience, as is access to community experiences - for which a minibus is a crucial solution. All funds raised will go to the Friends of Ysgol Bryn Derw charity which is run by parents, grandparents and staff.
