Story

What are we doing?

We are both registered Veterinary Nurses and are flying out to the Amazon Rainforest in 2024.

We are volunteering at the Amazon Shelter in Peru, helping to treat, care for and rehabilitate injured wildlife and return them back to the rainforest.

We are carrying out different fundraising events, such as cycling 200 miles across the "Way of the Roses", from the East Coast of England to the West Coast.

All funds raised will go towards the Amazon Shelter trip - you aren't donating towards a holiday!

Amazon Shelter

The Amazon Shelter goal is to be a voice for wildlife in the Amazon Rainforest. Due to logging, mining and deforestation many animals are captured, mistreated, or sold in the pet trade. Their mission is to protect and rehabilitate all animals that come into our care and to successfully reintroduce them back in the forest. Everyone at their centre helps them to give wildlife a second chance at a life in the wild.

Magali and her team have had the success of rehabilitating and releasing hundreds of animals back into the forest for over the past 14 years and they strive to make each year more successful.
