Story
We are a group of friends that met at Birkenhead parkrun that are running in various events this spring and raising funds for #TeamDDB's Random Acts of Kindness Campaign as well as raising all so important awareness of Bowel Cancer. Each 'Random Act' costs around £100, so with your support #TeamDDB can hopefully help pay for a few days out for some of the people in the local community who need our love and support the most.
Here is a little background to this campaign:
#TeamDDB is a group of fundraisers setup to raise money for other charities, and for the local Wirral community, the DDB being the initials of a truly inspirational young man, Danny de Brabander. Danny was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he and some of his friends wanted to turn a negative into a positive so #TeamDDB was born and to date has raised over £100,000.
In 2021 they decided to run a #RandomActsOfKindness campaign with some of the money raised. This is a campaign to do Random Acts for people who need lifting within our community. So far they have done over 45 Acts of Kindness for people, making many people smile and lift spirits. These kind donations will allow them to do even more for those that need it most.
As well as fundraising their objective is also to raise vital Bowel Cancer Awareness especially in younger people. If caught early 90% of cases will be treated successfully.
Thank you for supporting us, #TeamDDB and the local community.
