    Story

I am passionate about football and have been playing football as long as I can remember. I have now been selected for the Great Britain Deaf Football U21's squad to go to the European Championships in Poland this summer. This is my first international tournament and a dream of mine to represent my country.

Great Britain Deaf Football is a completely self-funded organisation relying on donations and fund raising activities. Our history goes back to 1924, being crowned World Champions 6 times, most recently in Melbourne in 2005. We currently operate five representative national teams; men's, women's, men's under 23's and a veteran’s team. As well as taking part in tournaments we organize training & participation days throughout the year to develop & encourage deaf football.

Great Britain under 21’s team has been set up since 2014 to create a new pathway to develop the GB Men team. The aim is to encourage young deaf footballer to develop and give them the opportunity represent their country.

In Poland this year there will be the first ever U21 European Deaf football Championships and Great Britain Deaf football will be sending a team to represent our country. The tournament will be held in August and GB Deaf football is asking for your support to raise the funds for the team to take part in this event.

The next 5 months I will be training on & off the field in order to prepare myself ready for this massive challenge and I am totally committed to play the best football I possibly can to help win the cup for my country. However the bigger picture requires ourselves as individuals to self-fund our way to the tournament.

It is estimated that I will need to raise £1,000 to take part in the European Deaf Championships and your donation will help fund for my accommodation, flights and training facilities.

So please please help me to represent my country and make my dream come true!

    Cheers!
