Every baby needs the best start in life and as the saying goes "breast is best". Being a mum of an extremely premature baby it was even more important to give my baby breast milk to help them in their fight for life. Not all mums get to breast feed in the normal way putting their little one on their breast.

This is where we all come in. When my daughter was born at just 23 weeks it was essential that I try to breast feed. This is so difficult to do when your body wasnt ready. I had to express right away by hand. I didnt have my baby with me. The stress of a traumatic birth made it even harder to express but every 3 hrs I woke and expressed by hand every little ml that I could. You never understand the importance of a breast pump until then.

The Neo natal unit are in need of breast pumps. There are so many premie babies who rely on their mums to bring them milk from the breast in order to help them in their fight for life. These breast pumps are like gold dust and their just arent enough. I on many occasions had to hand express. My baby needed my milk and if there was no pump the only way was by hand.

Please dig deep and help to raise enough money for the neo natal unit to buy more breast pumps to help all the mums of the Neo natal intensive unit care express for their little fighters.
