Poetry in Motion is a Poetry Initiative founded by Tahira Rana to promote South Asian Poetry through the production of Short Poetry Films. All poems are produced in the different languages from the South Asian region and are mostly accompanied with English translations.

The Initiative was primarily started to celebrate, share and preserve the rich heritage of the region and also to make it available to an International audience which are on the whole far removed from this genre due to an euro-centric bias towards literature, poetry and the arts in general.

Currently, Poetry in Motion's, Short Poetry Films are available through its Facebook Community Page and has audiences throughout The United Kingdom and around the world. However the project now needs to move on and create its own dynamic space for future growth.

The funds raised through Just Giving will be used to create a dedicated Web Portal to host and archive South Asian Poetry through Short Poetry Films; which in turn will become a resource for poetry enthusiasts, schools and colleges to appreciate, use for educational purposes and to better understand South Asian Poetry and its Poets.
