The reformed EFL Trophy has been designed to give Cat 1 academy players a chance of 1st team football, but at the expense of League 1&2 teams. Under 23 players plus 5 seniors will take part in the lower league competition. Many clubs voted against this, but the proposal went ahead regardless. This is another showing of fan contempt from the Premier League and the Football League. All clubs need to blood their young players in, but will be fined £5000 should any club fail to field a full strength side against these Cat 1 academy sides! Boycott the competition, donate your ticket price and help pay any fines incoming. This is our chance to stand up to modern football.
