Story
Dear Cat lover,
An adult cat invited himself to live with us about 8 years ago, We assume there was a deceased neighbour he must have belonged to. He chose us as his family and refused to leave. Being the hospitable people that we are, we feed him and nurture him.
I do not have the heart to give him to a cat sanctuary because his personality is very introverted and picky. He relies on me emotionally and often waits for me to do something to his food before he eats it lol. If I give him to a cat sanctuary, his trust will be broken. He owns me!
Getting injured and running up vet bills:
Lately he has been getting into a lot of trouble, about 3 months ago, he came home one evening with an oozing head injury and being currently unemployed, I tried to sign up to an organization that reduces vet bills for Job seekers but they said that it would take up to 10 days before he could be seen. This was an emergency so I ended up contacting a private vet surgery in my home town and luckily they gave me antiseptic “Hibi-scrub” absolutely free with no paper work and no hassle. So I never got to pay for pet insurance because of being unemployed.

Last weekend, He came home with ripped skin on the back of his thigh, the raw flesh underneath it exposed like when one removes a duvet cover and the skin was hanging over it like an unmade bed.

When I took him to the vet, They gave him an injection and some liquid medicine, it cost me £126.09p including £52.26p just to be seen.
Next week, I will have to take him for a check up and this might cost an additional £52.26p
Based on the results of the injection, they will decide if he needs further treatment or not so I am raising an estimate of £200.
I am willing to show receipts and share information about the Vet surgery if need be.

Because of being unemployed and because I never bought this cat, I am humbly asking for some help to pay this unexpected bill until I can finally get back to work and continue to support animal sanctuaries as I am a Vegan who loves animals.
If I receive more than I need, I will refund the donor(s) or give the donation to an animal sanctuary of the donor(s) choice.

Thank you so much for reading from me. May God bless you for your help.
