I've raised £10000 to Help find a new home for One Project's community fridge and store.

Our project has thrived on creating a positive impact, serving as a beacon for communal growth & development.
Unfortunately, we are facing a significant challenge that threatens our continued operation & ability to serve our local community.
CEC has initiated plans for a comprehensive, long overdue refurbishment of the Macclesfield indoor market, a move that necessitates our relocation within 6 weeks.
This decision, while aimed at modernising the market space, forces us to vacate our current premises, leaving us in urgent need of support & resources to secure a new town centre location & continue our mission.
We are all for the market makeover, & it is a shame we are having to leave as we can not close our service for 8-12months. Too many people rely on our service to take it away for that length of time. We have looked at every option, & the negatives outweighed the positives, leading to us having to find a new home.
We hand out food items to over 500 people each week for free, along with other items to help them reduce costs. Support a huge number of rough sleepers, domestic violence victims, people in recovery, social services referrals, to name a few. All at the same time as reducing waste & helping make Macclesfield a greener community.
The need to relocate presents not only logistical challenges but also substantial financial burdens. We are reaching out to our community & supporters to seek financial assistance. Your contribution will directly support the costs associated with relocating, including leasing new space, moving expenses, & adjusting our operations to continue providing uninterrupted services to all those we serve.
Here’s how your support can make a difference:
Lease & Security for New Premises: Ensuring that we have a stable & secure new home from which to operate is our top priority. Your contributions will help cover initial lease costs.
Moving Expenses: Relocating our equipment, resources, and inventory requires a large luton van with tail lift to ensure everything is moved safely and efficiently.
Operational Adjustments: Adapting our operations to a new space will require modifications & purchases of additional equipment or furniture to suit the new environment.
We understand that this is a significant request, & any contribution, big or small, will be invaluable to our efforts. The One Project is committed to transparency & will provide regular updates on our progress & how your donations are being utilised to secure & establish our new base.
We also welcome any offers for physical assistance or offers for storage units.
In the face of adversity, the strength of our community is our greatest asset. Together, we can overcome this challenge and continue to make a positive impact.
