Our story began in July, 2015. I was in 21st week of pregnancy when information that my baby was going to have a heart defect came like a bolt from the sky. She was born on 26th Nov. After a month in hospital doctors said "We are unable to help. We will sent documentation to Rome to prof Carotti, perhaps he will find a solution”. After operation in Aug 2016 Prof said ”I did everything I had planned” but after several days, Oliwia's condition deteriorated. Our hope faded. "Oliwia did not manage with a fixed heart, we are operating tomorrow. This will be a life-saving operation of your daughter”. Fate, however, decided to mock us again. Half a year after the surgery, it occurred that Oliwia developed pulmonary hypertension. Rome ordered to repeat heart catheterisation in 6 month. Now right ventricle is working extensively which results in its hypertrophy – myocardium (heart muscle) is thicker so capacity is lower and this slowly leads to heart failure. Listening to what the doctor was saying I was crying, I could not believe it. Despite this, we get up again ready for our next battle. To fight for normal life with a fixed heart but prof Carotti answered he did not have a plan for further treatment of Oliwia. Only Professor Hanley from the USA can help us win this fight. He gave us hope for fixing what is left unrepaired in Oliwia's heart. Delaying the operation may cause what no parent wants to think of – death.
Oliwka gets very tired during getting up, sitting up, walking and doing all the activities. Her breathing is heavy, nails and lips become purple. And this means that her condition is getting worse and that we cannot wait any longer.
I will fight as long as I can, but without your help I will not be able, so I am asking for your help... WHEN YOU  DO GOOD THINGS, GOOD THINGS HAPPEN XX
