Story
As any member or friend of Norton Lindsey and Wolverton Cricket Club knows a huge amount of time is spent every week preparing the ground for league and friendly fixtures. We take tremendous pride in presenting the facilities in their best possible light and we as a club benefit from a few key individuals who devote many hours during the week to ensure that anyone visiting the ground during the training nights or playing days are treated to the best possible conditions.
Whilst the investment in the club continues off the field with the new nets being built in June, this request is to support the purchase of a new white boundary rope to replace the thin general purpose blue rope that we currently use. For those of us lucky enough to be walking around the boundary at North Devon recently there is the obvious benefit of having clearly visible boundary lines for the umpires, but the traditional white rope was also in keeping with the rest of their facilities and standards of the ground.
As always these things aren't cheap but hopefully through this we can get some support to help raise the money. Many thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully donate towards our target. As always we look forward to seeing you over a long and hot summer..............fingers crossed.
