I've raised £9000 to make changes to Norman Park Playground. Our first phase is to add an agility trail to the existing play area.

Story

Every parent knows the feeling: you take your child to the park hoping for hours of fun, only to see them grow bored too quickly. This was exactly my experience at Norman Park with my son. Determined to make a change, we embarked on a mission to transform our local playground into a place where both children and parents can't wait to spend time.

Norman Park, while very popular, the playground currently lacks the variety needed to keep children engaged and entertained. Our project aims to introduce new and exciting elements, starting with an agility trail that encourages physical activity and stimulates imagination. By adding these features, we aim to create a playground where every visit brings new adventures and lasting memories.

While we may not be the first to enhance a playground, our approach is deeply rooted in community feedback and collaboration. We've consulted with parents, educators, and park users to ensure our additions meet the diverse needs of our community. Our commitment to transparency and accountability ensures that every penny raised goes directly towards enhancing Norman Park.

We are thrilled to announce that we have received a generous grant of £17,808 from Bromley Council’s Platinum Jubilee Parks Fund. This significant contribution has brought us closer to our goal, but we still need to raise an additional £9,000 to fully fund our £27,000 project.

Our initial goal is to raise £9,000 to fund the installation of an agility trail—a dynamic addition that promotes fitness and fun for children of all ages. This marks just the beginning of our broader vision to transform Norman Park Playground into a playground we can be proud of.

Allocation of Funds:

Agility Trail: £9,000

If funds exceed our total all money will go towards Phase Two Enhancements. This would potentially be a £23k project. Alternatively depending on funds we would like to add more seating for parents.

Our Vision for the Future:

Looking ahead, we envision Norman Park becoming a flagship playground that rivals others in size and popularity. With continued support from our community and beyond, we aspire to implement additional phases that will elevate the park's appeal and ensure it remains a cherished space for generations.

Join us in transforming Norman Park into a playground that exceeds expectations—a place where children's laughter fills the air and parents can relax knowing their kids are having the time of their lives. Your contribution will not only fund tangible improvements but will also foster a sense of pride and unity within our community. Together, let's create a park that reflects the borough and becomes a place of fun and inclusivity for all.
