I've raised £6000 to Raise funds for cancer services at SATH and the RAF Benevolent Fund for serving & former members of the RAF and families

Nigel and Tom are raising funds for 2 really important Charities. Our family has been hugely affected by cancer - my mother (Tom's Grandma) passed away with breast cancer aged 61, and my father was in his early 70's before succumbing to oesophageal cancer. My uncle had head & neck cancer, and my aunt has just passed away due to pancreatic cancer. My cousin was affected early by colorectal cancer and died aged just 52. My father in law is living with prostate cancer and I have 2 other close family members having chemo and immunotherapy. As a director at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital, and as Tom has worked as a healthcare assistant, we are keen to raise funds for all cancer services at the Trust.
I served in the Royal Air Force for 20 years, and Tom is now a serving RAF officer in Scotland. We are also passionate supporters for charities who support military veterans of all ages and their families - our chosen charity is the RAF Benevolent Fund. Tom works closely with the RAF Benevolent Fund in Scotland and I know that the charity supports RAF personnel, families and dependents in Shropshire and indeed across the UK.
We plan to do a series of events in 2023, leading up to a trek to Mount Kilimanjaro in January 2024
