Hi everyone, as most of you know we had our final 2 shows of our Never Give Up dance show on 3rd August 2024, unfortunately this was to be disrupted by the protests/riots taking place in the city.

We managed to do our matinee show but this then quickly turned into a traumatic day with the whole theatre having to go into lockdown, with no-one in and no-one out, due to huge safety concerns with what was transpiring directly outside of the theatre.

2 more lock downs later, and the most heart breaking decision was made to cancel our final show which is always the biggest, bestest, most fun show of them all. The children were devastated, not to mention their main teacher and owner of SCDC dance school Katie, this has been a dream of hers since starting the dance school.

The theatre have happily rescheduled the final show to the 31st August 2024, but unfortunately all of the lighting was sourced by a third party, meaning Katie will have to pay for this again at a cost of around £8000, for something that was completely out of her control.

If we could raise half of this or just as much as we possibly can, then we can to contribute towards the lighting cost and hopefully lift spirits for a very deflated and heartbroken Katie.
