KIRSTY'S WORDS -
Sienna is 11 years old, she is currently in Bristol Children’s Hospital where we have been for 2 weeks since being emergency flown back under sedation from South Africa. There is no indication of how much longer we will be here but we anticipate it being some time. She has been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). This essentially means that her brain doesn’t communicate correctly with her body. She has tics, Tourette’s, non epileptic seizures and absence seizures. The seizures are currently happening over 50 times a day despite medication. She is wheelchair bound due to the severity and frequency of the seizures. She requires 24/7 care. We are in desperate need of a wheelchair, wet room at home and her bedroom refurbished with a suitable bed etc. possibly a stair lift also if it will work with our home set up. On top of this her dad Sean was diagnosed with skin cancer in August. He has had surgery to remove some of it (his nostril) and we are awaiting a meeting to see if further surgery is required. It’s a very hard time for us as a family, we are still trying to work as much as possible (and wedding clients please do not be concerned at all as we are doing all weddings) but as you can imagine a few shoots have had to be moved and we are not advertising for new work at the moment which is having a huge financial impact on us. We have always helped everyone in any way we can but this time we are in need of some support. Any help would be massively appreciated and I thank you from the bottom of my heart xx
