Story

On the June 23rd to 24th June 5 cyclists from the National Highways took on a challenge of cycling 250 miles, the length of the National Highways Southwest Region, from Penzance to Tewkesbury in 24 hours. The purpose of this challenge is to raise funds for two worthy causes, Lighthouse Club & Samaritans. The two chosen charities have a particular relationship with our industry and our highways community and have been chosen for that reason.

The funds raised by the cycle will be split between the two charities

If we meet our target this would enable the Samaritans to recruit and train 25 new volunteers helping us support more people struggling to cope this year and would further assist the Lighthouse Club in providing education and training initiatives, fund ideas to improve health or safety in the work environment, and provide services like the 24-hour Construction Industry Helpline.
