Meadowside Academy primary school in Knaresborough have entered two beds into the race this year, which are a mixture of Mums and Dads ranging from plodders to more athletic runners, who are all super keen and want to put on good show for our children and the school and the town.

The Great Knaresborough Bed Race has been held every year since 1966 excluding 2020 and 2021. It's always on the second Saturday in June. It is a mighty pageant of decorated beds, passengers and runners, combined with a gruelling athletic contest around a course of 2.4 miles.

We have been very lucky to have engaged some local businesses to help fund our entry to the race, costumes and parade materials - thank you to all of our business sponsors, we really appreciate you! However, the main reason we do this to raise money for the PTA to run fun and inclusive events for all the Children at Meadowside. We would love it if you could sponsor us, no value is too small, to help put more events on for the children in 2024/2025.
