I've raised £2200 to help fund the provision of the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme at McLaren High School.

McLaren High School offers its students the opportunity to take part in all 3 levels of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme. DofE helps our young people to develop their self-belief and self-confidence, a sense of identity along with learning initiative and a sense of responsibility.
Most of the £40 paid to enter each level of the scheme goes directly to DofE to cover administration costs. If you are a parent who can afford more this is the simplest way to show your appreciation for the scheme and the many volunteer hours put in by the 14 staff members of the team who are not paid for the time or experience that they generously give. The cost of being a licenced centre for the scheme alone are £1,275 per annum. Approximately another £2,400 is required to purchase replacement camping equipment and pay for campsites. Your support is very much appreciated!
