Mayela is a 12 year-old tennis star who has been supported by the Pavilion Sports and Café for the past two years, in particular Robby and Johnboy. The Pavilion has helped her with courts, floodlights, balls, hitting partners, coaching and financial support, because we want to see Mayela fulfil her potential but she needs more. She has won four 12 and under national tournaments in a row, under 16 tournaments and is currently the top player, No.1, nationally in her age group. She lives in Bounds Green with her family, her father, Will, brings her to the park on a regular basis for training as well as driving to tournaments all over the country so that Mayela can pursue her talent. This event is to raise funds to assist with the cost of attending the next level of tennis tournaments which will take place in Europe.
