During my time working for the ambulance service I have met many people and a few of these stick in my memory for various reasons, but I have never been compelled to run a half marathon in aid of a patient before, especially after a meeting that lasted approximately only an hour. However earlier this year I met the most amazing little girl and can’t put into words why I felt it was important to raise money for Kacie. Something about this little girl got me feeling very emotional and wanting to make a difference to her, her family and raise awareness for others in the UK who are all living with a probable terminal diagnosis of SMA. I remember telling her that night that she was my favourite patient ever and that she had been the most well behaved patient I had attended to that night and sorry to all my other patients but she still is my favourite by far. Please help me raise some money for Kacie, any little amount to help meet the target is appreciated.
