9 Year old Macey was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (Bone Cancer) on the 13th January this year, after a delay in this being discovered and to be behind health issues that Macey had been suffering from since summer last year. The reason behind us raising money for Macey is assist with the care she needs over the coming weeks, months and possible years. She is based at John Radcliffe in Oxford for her treatment and with the travelling needed and the care she needs, this has meant that both Macey's mother and I (step father) have had to take the hard step and leave employment throughout this nightmare, this has made the keeping up with the things she needs and requires has been getting harder to fulfil as our money drains away. We did arrange a just giving page when Macey was first diagnosed (Feb) and this was amazing and meant the we were able to purchase the urgent items she needed and this was something that we were so very grateful for, this included, Bed, Bath Chair, decorate and change the house to bring a bedroom downstairs, clothes (she was not able to wear hardly anything she had prior due to problems with her feet and where the Tumour was removed) Commode, wheelchair, a bed for her Dads house. To keep a 9 year old who was so very active and had the world at her feet, mind occupied and strength up does prove very costly. Due to the delay in diagnosis has meant that Macey is now in a wheelchair and her bladder and bowels have stopped working, this is due to Nerves in her spine being crushed by the tumour that was in the lower part of her spine. We also would hate not being able to get items as soon as she needs to help her get through this illness. The support we have had and messages from strangers have been amazing and each and everyone have been read by us all and although I apologise that we haven't been able to reply to everyone as yet but we will do, but I don't want anyone to think we are not grateful for what everyone has done for us all.
