Mabel came to live with us from a puppy. At 12 weeks old she lost the use of her back legs due to a spinal deformity. We chose not to have her put to sleep, instead she came home with us and was the happiest most defiant puppy you could ever wish to meet, she defied the odds. She began to get about with the use of her specially designed wheels. On Friday 20th May Mabel became poorly, and ln true british bulldog style she began to fight back again, unfortunately she was to weak and she passed away on Monday 23rd May, breaking our hearts to pieces.

Mabels Journey has taken us all over the UK, she’s met some amazing people. We can’t let her short little life count for nothing. So many dogs go into vets with curable conditions but for so many reasons thier owners leave them to be put to sleep, our aim at Mabel’s journey is to intercept these dogs, take them into our care, make them better and then find them loving homes. All in the name of our beautiful girl.
