Story
A group of 20 senior pupils from Monifieth High School are visiting Jolaurabi School and Orphanage in Kenya for 2 weeks in October where they will help out at the school and with projects in the village. The pupils will have the opportunity to interact with children and teenagers living completely different lives and witness some of the extreme poverty and deprivation that impact on the community.
Jolaurabi is run through Educate the Kids - a charity set up by a Scottish couple in 1998 in a small village just outside Mombassa in Kenya. The charity set up a school, kindergarten and orphanage where hundreds of the poorest children have given access to education for the past 25 years.
Our group have to fundraise to support the school as well as pay part of their travel expenses. Please help us support this worthwhile cause.
