Story
We are aiming to raise £1,000 to buy medical supplies for children in a hospital in Tanzania.
Many of you know that in June 2017, we are off to Arusha, Tanzania for 4 weeks to volunteer at Mount Meru Hospital within the children's department. During this time we will be rotating around 4 wards-general, malnutrition, surgical and neonatal care where we will be helping to care for children with malaria, HIV and other life-threatening conditions.
Tanzania is a developing country and medical care is not widely available. As there is a huge lack of resources within the country, there is a high number of deaths that could be prevented if the correct resources were available. For this reason, we would love to raise funds so that we can buy the children's wards supplies they are lacking, to be able to give care to the children, for example, dressings, needles, hand sanitiser, syringes and gloves and aprons for the nurses.
We would be so grateful for any donations made! Thank you!
