Story
Lucy Lost her hearing 3 years ago. She has kept swimming during this time having to adjust to her disability. She joined the GB Deaf Swimming Club in 2015 and was selected for the Performance squad in 2016.
Lucy has now been selected to represent Great Britain in the Deaflympics that is taking place this summer in Turkey.
The whole team are having to self fund the costs involved which is approximately £2,500 each. We have managed to raise some of this so far but are trying to obviously cover as much of the cost through fundraising as we can.

Stuart Sharp
8 years agoLucy would like to say a big thank you for all your generous donations. She had an amazing experience in Turkey at the Deaflympics and it has really helped with her confidence. Lucy swam really well and achieved personal bests in all her races and in the relays. She is now back in training after a few weeks rest and is aiming to be picked to be part of the team going to the European Deaf Swimming Championships in Poland in 2018. Thanks Again The Sharps
