Lily is my 11 year old niece.

Her beautiful hair started falling out around the end of 2022. It started with a small bald patch here and there, nothing noticeable.

Unfortunately since then, it's gotten worse. She was recently diagnosed with Alopecia. No rhyme or reason to it. She's had blood tests, steroid creams, offered injections etc but nothing seems to have helped and her bloods are clear.

She now has next to no hair on the top half of her head with other bald patches round the sides and underneath.

She has just finished primary school and is starting high school in August. This is something she should be looking forward to but, she isn't.

My gorgeous niece has lost most of her confidence and no matter how many times we tell her she's beautiful, she doesn't believe it.

Since developing alopecia she has become withdrawn. Not wanting to go to school, coming home from school crying, not wanting to go out with her friends. Why? Because she was being bullied! People at school were pulling back what little hair she has left to reveal her bald spots and laughing at her! They were taking other people up to her and pulling her hair back to show them! Why are kids so cruel...

Lily has already been through some tough times, this just seems so unfair! She's a wonderful girl and my 3 year old absolutely adores her! It's such a shame to see her becoming a quiet, shy, withdrawn girl when she's usually full of life and confidence.

We are looking to raise money to help cover the costs of a hair system and to see a trichologist in time for her starting high school. We are hoping a hair system will give her the confidence boost she desperately needs to start school and the trichologist can get to the bottom of it and help her real hair grow back!
