I've raised £20000 to To help other families suffering the effects of cancer in Lexi-may's memory.

Mission:
On 14th July 2023 Lexi-may sadly lost her battle with cancer and passed away at home with her family around her.
Lexi's story: Lexi-may Pearce was just six years old when she was diagnosed with stage 5 Wilms' Tumour which is a rare kidney cancer which affects children. Lexi had a kidney removed and two parts of her liver. She has underwent aggressive chemotherapy for her lungs, with the hope of getting a surgeon's support to have the tumour removed in the future. Sadly the surgeon concluded he was unable to operate.
Throughout Lexi's illness the family were able to retreat to a seaside caravan which was funded by a charitable trust for children with cancer. The caravan provided a relaxing place for the family, where the reality of Lexi's cancer could be forgotten for a short time and the family could focus on having fun.
Following Lexi's passing, Danielle (Lexi's mum) and Dylan (Lexi's brother) decided they would like to start a fund raiser with the ultimate aim of purchasing a caravan as "Lexi's Legacy" to allow other families suffering the effects of cancer the same opportunity.
Funds had already been donated towards Lexi's funeral costs, however, the costs were met by the family. This means that all the money already collected has given a fantastic start to the fund raising effort. Danielle has already done the homework for the siting of maintenance of a caravan, so we just need to raise enough funds to make this dream a reality. The funds already collected are held in the Just Giving account and this will remain open for the foreseeable future.
We are currently looking into registering as a charity.
Please like and share the Lexi-may's Blue Star Fundraising Page as much as you can. We will keep you all updated and will gratefully receive any fund raising ideas (and volunteers!!!).
Many thanks for reading and sharing, your support is invaluable and much appreciated.
