My Story – Piotr Nosidlak

Life was great, I moved to the UK from Poland in 2004 where I met my partner Nina. Within 6 years we had our first child, a daughter Wiktoria (now 6 years old), followed 3 years later by a son, Anthony. I had secured a work as a multi-skilled tradesman and settled in Gravesend a place we love and now call our home town.

In July (2016) our world fell apart, my wife was experiencing headaches and constant dizziness and she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumour "MEDULLOBLASTOMA" very rare ( childhood) which as sometimes affect adults. Nina's case is no.31 in U.K. 1:1000000, with that type of tumour – within a couple of weeks she was operated on. Two months later in October an MRI scan showed the tumour was re-growing and again she underwent surgery followed by chemotherapy. In February she will undergo a course of radiotherapy with the hope of rebuilding our shattered lives.

The NHS has been brilliant and we couldn’t of wished for more in our time of need. The on going pain Nina is experiencing is being alleviated by the use of hemp oils and a high dose of CBD + CBDa, however this is very expensive and isn’t something the NHS fund. I pray everyday for hope and am appealing for help to fund the pain relief. Nina is my beautiful wife, an angel, a friend, a wonderful mother to our young children and I love her so much.
