I'm raising £30000 to help the family of Kita Mai Andrews who has been diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer at just 14 months old

Support for Baby Kita Mai Andrews and Her Family During This Difficult Time
As many of you know, our very close friends Ania & Jay are facing an incredibly challenging and heartbreaking situation. Their precious baby girl, Kita, at only 14 months old was rushed to Alder Hey Hospital on the 16th of July, after a scan found a mass on her brain. Within 24 hours Kita had already undergone the first urgent operation on her brain, which discovered a brain tumour and Kita was later diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. This has been an unimaginable journey for them, filled with countless hospital over night stays, surgeries, and now, the start of chemotherapy.
In a 4 week timeline Kita has already undergone multiple brain surgeries, a number of procedures involving anaesthesia, a lumbar puncture, experienced weight loss, undergone physio, has been referred to a cardiologist, faced multiple MRI & CT scans, has had a PEG tube fitted and faces a 6 month chemotherapy protocol; this list is not exhaustive. While she’s shown incredible strength and resilience, the road ahead is still long and uncertain.
We’re reaching out to anyone who can help this amazing family. The medical expenses, time away from work, and the general costs of life during such a difficult time are adding up quickly. If chemotherapy is unsuccessful, the family are also looking at potential treatment options abroad, which would incur significant financial costs. By coming together, we can help ease their financial burden so they can focus entirely on what matters most—being there for Kita and providing her with all the love and care she needs.
Please consider donating to support Kita and her family. Any amount, big or small, will make a significant difference and will be deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to contribute financially, your thoughts, well wishes, and shares of this page are just as valuable.
Thank you for standing with Ania & Jay during this incredibly tough time. Together, we can help lighten their load and surround them with the love and support they need.
Ania & Jay are already so grateful and appreciative of the love and kindness they have received.
With all our love and so much gratitude,
Clare, Meg, Katie & Lowri x
