I've raised £4500 to The kids Garden new Piano Shed and other bits musical and green

The Kids garden is a public space created by the community on the edge of the Meadows Middle Meadow Walk in Edinburgh. The space was created spontaneously in 2016 to be a safer and welcoming place for kids, parents and the wider community. From interactive water feature, open air piano, stegosaurus tent, musical instruments, toys, old wooden water pipes, short films screening, live music performances, to simply comfy benches and plants, the garden always have a lot to offer.
This summer the new University of Edinburgh Futures Institute (the old Royal Infirmary building) is going to open and a new landscaping project for Middle Meadow walk will be implemented. And that means the kids garden will have to change in order to adapt to the new reality and to fit in harmoniously with the new layout plans for Middle Meadow Walk while maintaining the same creative and welcoming spirit of the garden.
The main aim of the project is to create the most amazing piano shed (built by the Pianodrome team using old discarded pianos) with a beautiful piano inside for everybody to play, fill the shed with more amazing musical instruments such as marimba, hand pan, xylophone, and install 2 stained glass windows at the shed. We also propose to lay new turf (today is just bark), create a water feature using the old wooden water pipes, and as a bonus if we have enough funds we will install a monkey bar too (why not?).
