Story
In 2021 England came out of Covid and dared to dream of winning our first football trophy since 1966. So we commissioned N4T4, a local street artist and James Bennett of “the reel people” to paint our wall. In doing so, we created a work of art, and a weekend of hopes, dreams and memories managed to generate an amazing £12,000 for 8 accessible defibs in the community (following Christian Eriksens collapse at the tournament) and part-funded “the reel peoples” local art festival/
We dare to dream again as we head to the Euro 2024 final and we want to celebrate our wall , our community and this momentous event. Following tragic losses in our community to knife crime, we aim to put bleed kits in as many defibs sites as we can and look to encourage peope to “Kick the Knife“ through awareness. Linking in with “Hip Hop Healing“ created by James Bennett and former students who use the power of hip hop culture to reach young people and change their path.
Bellingham is now on…. Lets win on Sunday and add the cup and more players next week!!!
