Dear friends & family,

Our lovely Jackie has encountered a massive challenge, her UK Visa is set to expire this month and the fee to renew it is wildly expensive and ultimately insurmountable for Jackie to pay for on her own.

Jackie has dedicated her years in Belfast thus far to working for a children's arts charity. While this is an invaluable contribution to the community, it is not particularly...lucrative (financially speaking). That is why myself, along with Elspeth and Steph, have started this fundraising page with the goal of sharing the cost of the visa amongst Jackie's circle and hopefully support her to continue the beautiful life she has created in Belfast.

We, of course, understand that everyone will have different abilities to contribute and that December is a tough month financially for most. That being said, every little bit counts and we hope as a group we can keep Jackie's life from being turned upside down due to an unreasonable and inaccessible financial requirement of the Home Office.

The total cost of the visa is £2885, this includes the NHS surcharge. Our aim is to get as close to this amount as possible.

As a wee Christmas/Birthday treat to Jackie, and to ourselves as well, let's gather our resources and help out a very special and beautiful person in our lives xx
