Story
Football in Scotland is massive. Governed by the Scottish Football Association it has been denying the victims of sex abuse within the game justice and peace despite publicly admitting their duty of care for young players previously. Since the scandal broke nearly 3 years ago the countless victims were initially encouraged to come forward and breach the silence within which they have suffered for over 30 years. Having had the courage to come forward and tell the horrific testimonies of the abuse to the lawyers, politicians and the official investigators, they now are being ignored and the agony prolonged needlessly by the faceless solicitors and insurance company of the SFA. settlethescore

4 years agoFor all your continued support through these last months, my heart felt thanks. I have been unwell but on just about back on my feet. Legally I will be getting into a higher gear in a few weeks regards Bill Kelly. I have notified (politely) other organisations to expect some sleepless nights over the coming months. Please be rest assured all aspects of justice are being considered. Further updates will be available soon on my Twitter page. Hopefully soon the only thing separate about a particular organisation will be the dividing wall in jail

5 years agoHi, not much to report on the legal front although we are trying to meet with the SFA and the authors of the 'independent' report prior to its publication. Members within the Settle the Score group have been told to expect publication of the report once the Covid 19 restrictions start to ease. Phase 2 of Scottish parliament plans about to be implemented soon, we expect the notice of its intended publication imminently. I wish all my supporters and their families continued health and upbeat spirits through these coming weeks and months. MR

5 years agoThanks once again for your continued support, I have had a wobble recently and was extremely disheartened at some news I received from my legal team. Happy to report I am back on my feet and continuing with the fight for justice and to get the whole truth out there. For those who don't know the full story so far please visit www.settlethescore.org.uk - the information is all there for you to read and take in. Lastly in these uncertain times, please take care. Give yourself 10 mins each day just for yourself. kind regards Malcolm

I have suffered in silence long enough - I went public to encourage others to come forward and put pressure on the SFA to acknowledge this, accept liability and apologise. This has not happened. This fund is so that a case can be funded in the Scottish Courts and justice is given
