Iʼve raised £3,598 to Help adapt Julian's house and pay for physiotherapy sessions to aid his recovery

Funded on Friday, 9th August 2024

    Story

As you probably know Julian had a massive stroke in April last year. After many months in hospital in Lewisham and then at the Neurology hospital in Russell Square he is coming home, but his home needs adapting. Julian still uses a wheelchair and the house needs to be made accessible. Added to this it is vital that he continues to receive intensive physiotherapy which will need to be paid for privately. We are holding a benefit gig in London on 19th March (https://foxfirkin.com/events/big-benefit-bash/), but for those that can't make the gig, hopefully you will be able to contribute via this page. Many thanks on behalf of Julian, Jeed, Patty and the whole Rudd family xxx

Well, you have been so generous and are still giving so I have increased the target and extended the page. The physio sessions are going brilliantly, and Julian is even standing now on his own. The wheelchair has been adapted but we need to keep going with the physio until the council can take over. Thank you all so much N x

So far the money has been used to pay for 6 weeks of private physio which is going really well - Julian has been standing up on his own!! The wheelchair that was provided by Greenwich Council was not a powered one so we have also paid for a motor to be fitted with your donations. I'm going to extend the campaign so we can keep the physio going (until it is provided by the council). I can't thank you all enough for your generosity. I have shown Julian all your messages. Lots of love Nicole x

Oh my gosh guys you have been so very generous, we have more than achieved our target. The gig was a great success and we have probably raised just over £5k now for Julian's recovery. Thank you all so much
