    Story

There are an estimated 1.4 million orphans in Zambia. Our friend Judi lives in Kitwe. She is a high school teacher who has taken in desperate pupils into her own home. At her local primary school 70% of the children have no parents. They live with relatives or are on the streets.
Judi is building an orphanage that will house up to 100 young people, all of whom have the same entitlement to a future as we do.
The project already has 2 blocks being built. We'd like to get it all finished by 2018. The problem is enormous, but we all do our bit, by God's grace lives will improve.

Julie Wilson and I visited Zambia in 2012. We saw at first hand how terrible life is for many young people. We spent time in the shanty town of St Anthony's Parish. The houses had no sanitation or running water. 2000 people shared 2 water taps. We were determined to help!
