This is Joe my friends 8 year old son. Joe was born premature and as a result ,was born was cerebral palsey. Joe can not walk and so gets about using a wheel chair. Joe was at a mainstream school up until this year, although he couldn't keep up, so he has now started a special school that can meet his needs. Joes legs are so tight he can not stand and he is in pain a lot of the time. Joes parents have looked into life changing surgery, but its not available in this country on the NHS. The price of this is over £60'00, so we are all trying to help. I am going to be doing the Coniston to Barrow this year to try help make a start on this fundraising. You is a beautiful boy, he is adored by the whole community, he would love nothing more than to be able to play football, even to just have the same independence as everyone else his age.
