Woodridge College is a unique country school found nestled in the Eastern Cape on top on Van Stadens river gorge between Humansdorp and Port Elizabeth. Surrounded by the Van Staden wild flower nature reserve. It provides an all rounded education for many children from surrounding towns and farms and Southern Africa and looks after a huge community which reside on the premises .

Unfortunately on the 10th of June a serious forrest fire caused massive damage to 60 percent of the schools buildings, and worker and teachers homes were gutted. All staff and borders were safely evacuated but learnt that all their personal items had been lost. I have currently have a son at Woodridge and feel heartbroken for this wonderful community.

I have started this page in order to help the School Community being the teachers and workers to recover from this terrible event. For these individuals have lost all their personal belongings and household contents.
I know time will heaI, but I am hoping that if you are reading this now you might be willing to donate it. I am grateful for a single pound.

For many of my friends from the United Kingdom, we have hosted many Uk schools visiting our coast line and would love to be able to continue the hand of friendship in the future.
