I've raised £1000 to purchase a memorial bench for Jamie Williams at the Burton Rugby Club and to help fund the club's future plans.

My dad, Jamie Williams sadly passed away on Saturday 21st March after a long period of poor health. Those who knew him would agree that he was a "true character" who had a lot of passion, love and humour. Whilst he had many hobbies, rugby was a huge part of his life and Burton Rugby Club held a special place in his heart. Dad was a "legendary character" from Peel Croft and served the club in many roles over the years. He was a player, coach, committee member, patron and a very vocal supporter who stood at the touchline - even when he should have been resting!
Due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, we are unable to give my dad the send off he truly deserves. We would therefore like to raise money to purchase a memorial bench in his honour and also funds for the club that gave him so many amazing memories and friends. Dad loved being close to the action and I'm sure he's not the only one. By installing a bench, we hope others can enjoy many future matches comfortably. Any additional funds raised will be given to the club to support their future plans.
