My son James who is 5 is having a Stoma bag fitted due to various reasons with his bowels, when we attended the appointment with the nurse he was given a 'build a bear' that had its own Stoma and bag attached to it, this gives James a chance to explore what having a Stoma bag is all about and help him understand how it works. He said to his mum and me that he would like to raise some money so that we can send to the charity that made his, he would like to send enough money to enable them to provide 5 or more bears to other children like him.
