I've raised £1500 to help Imogen Paul pay for ACL surgery and rehabilitation.

Imogen Paul is my crazy, fitness mad, best friend. We’ve been friends for almost 10 years now, lucky me! She’s always on the move; training for an event, playing football, climbing, swimming… I’ve never met anyone as active as her. She’s the best kind of friend to have, always pushing us to try new things and complete challenges we never thought of trying. In July 2022, Imo persuaded six of us to complete the National Three Peaks challenge and we smashed it!
Unfortunately, on the 5th November whilst playing for Chester, Imo ruptured her ACL. As you can imagine, this hit her harder than most. It’s been a tough month coming to terms with being out of action for a while. However, as her support group we know she will come back bigger and better. The Iron Man Medal is waiting for you Imo!!
In March 2021, I decided to run 100 miles to raise money for cancer research. Imo was right there pushing me through the hard miles and talking at me when I was struggling to catch my breath. Now it’s my turn to support Imo. I hate long distance running, however this is one of the things Imo loves most. She’s ran half marathons, marathons, ultra marathon plus many more crazy challenges. The furthest I’ve ran is 13km. To help raise money for Imo’s surgery and rehab I will be running the Chester Half Marathon in May 2024.
Unfortunately, this injury is becoming increasing common meaning the NHS waiting list can be as long as 18 months for surgery, along with 9 months recovery. In hope to help Imo get back to everything she loves doing, we are hoping to raise money to help pay for private surgery. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
