The Inchcape Shipping Services, Mombasa Office is holding a charity run/walk on March 11th to raise funds to help support the Ananda Marga Children's Homes and the Mighty Redeemer Children's Home in Mombasa, Kenya.

Ananda Marga Children's Home:

Also referred to as AMURT Children's Home, this organisation has provided care and education to orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable girls since 1989. Through this institution, the girls receive their basic needs and education through a variety of secondary, vocational and college programs. They also receive guidance and counselling to help ensure they grow up in a positive, family-like atmosphere that allows them to develop their personalities, talents and leadership qualities.

There are currently 21 girls in the home between the ages of 8 and 19. The Children's home depends on donations for basic needs like food, medical care, education and counselling for these girls to complete their education and live productive lives in society.

Mighty Redeemer Children's Home:

With the vision to provide the best possible care and education to children in need, Mighty Redeemer Children's Home provides food, clothing, medical care and school tuition for its 36 children between the ages of 2 and 5. This charity firmly believes in providing the best so that the children can have a good educational foundation for their lives to come.

We are hoping to raise £10,000 to help both of these charities on our 4 kilometer charity walk from the ISS Mombasa, Kenya office to Mama Ngina Drive and back.

ISS has agreed to match the amount that ISS, Mombasa raises to donate to the Children's Homes.
