Story

The I-AM project was created by a group of highly skilled and motivated professionals in the IT and media industry. The project team leader Trevor Jarvis, an artist, animator and educator has more than 25 years experience in the field and aims to build a creative collaboration between communities in Africa and different parts of the World. In order to implement this project we have recieved sponsorships from The Ethiopian World Federation and The American Embassy in Addis Ababa, who have supplied the project with classrooms, computers, software and will be running a recruitment campaign to sign up students. Trevor will be volunteering his skills over a six month period to deliver the course Introduction to Animation and Imaging to 40 students. This fundraising campaign is seeking to cover his expenses to travel to Ethiopia and secure a 6 month work visa, accommodation and daily travel to and from class. The project commences on 10th October 2023 and the project will be grateful for any donations you can make towards the expenses. You can follow the progress of the project by visiting the I-AM Project website Why not donate today and help the I-AM project in Empowering African Youths by levelling the playing field in digital technology.
