    Story

Many of you will have followed the story of when we rescued Holly the mama cat, who was kept safe and had given birth to 5 kittens in a stairwell in inner-city SE London.

The day after she gave birth, after we picked her up and took her to safety, we had to take Holly urgently to the vet to check that there wasnt a kitten left inside (there wasnt) as she was quite swollen and seemed uncomfortable. She then settled down and started raising her babies.

About 4 weeks later, we had to take her back to the vet as she suddenly developed some very bad gut issues and it started affecting her physcial recovery and parenting skills. We tried probiotics, wormer, antibiotics, gut support food…nothing worked. So we had to run stool samples and full bloods, which showed a major deficiency in B12 as well as a nasty virus.

She has been taking supplements and after a month of treatment we are very happy to report that she is doing incredibly well, has put on weight, and is being her lovely cuddly, chatty adorable self.

She will need a further course of treatment to be sure her B12 levels are sufficient, and will be due her spay as soon as the vet is happy to give the all clear on her overall health.

Unfortunately, none of this comes for free, and we now desperately need your help!

We are incredibly grateful to Wolfe Vets Fulham for helping us get to the bottom of Holly’s health issues, and allowing us a bit of time to fundraise for her because as a small rescue, we entirely rely on your generosity to cover our outgoings - we don’t want any cat to suffer or be unable to access the treatment they need, no matter their shape, colour or indeed, illness!

Please help us cover our outstanding bills at the vet so that we continue to help cats in need that are sadly abandonned and left to struggle, even here on the streets of London 🥹

Even just £5 goes a long way, every little helps!

    Thank you in advance,

Holly and the Furry Ears Team

Dear all, thank you so much for the kind support so far! We are hoping to get Holly to the vet very soon to be spayed, and in the meantime would really appreciate if you could share this fundraiser around so we can manage to book her in!
